Free COVID-19 testing underway at 8 locations on Texas A&M campus

November 16, 2020, 8:00 a.m. CST

Texas A&M University is offering the campus community free COVID-19 testing this week at eight locations, including a drive-thru site.

Faculty and staff are asked to complete a short online pre-registration screening, while students should fill out a similar form, even if they fall in any of the following categories:

  • Don't plan to test
  • Have already had the virus
  • Think they don't need a test
  • Expect to test elsewhere
  • Aren't currently in the Bryan-College Station area
  • Are quarantining or isolating at home

All faculty and staff members who test positive for the virus are asked to please file the information online at the A&M System Reporting Portal.

The testing information - which is used to make critical university decisions - is necessary for officials to get a true understanding of COVID-19 within the campus community, which has seen a spike in cases in recent weeks.
