Update on free COVID-19 test kits: Kyle Field location moves indoors to Rudder near Exhibit Hall; Curative kiosks won't open until 10 a.m.

January 20, 2022, 10:00 a.m. CST

The strong cold front moving through the Brazos Valley has pushed indoors the only outdoor location on campus to pick up free COVID-19 home test kits: Rudder (near the Exhibit Hall) replaces the Kyle Field site today and tomorrow. (Thursday, Jan. 20 and Friday, Jan. 21)

Also, the Curative testing kiosks will not open until 10 a.m.

The home test kits will be handed out from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and tomorrow at Rudder. Other locations and times include:

  • Zachry Engineering Education Complex: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Virginia Brown Atrium on first floor)
  • Wehner Building: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (outside Room 113)
  • A.P. Beutel Student Health Center: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (follow signage)

To pick up the free test, students, faculty and staff must do the following:

  • Visit the request site, select College Station, then use your NetID to log on and fill out the form.
  • After filling out the form, hit submit. A receipt with a number will be emailed to your Texas A&M account; show that number when picking up the test kit.

Read more information here, including details on the shelf-life of the test.

Public health officials and Texas A&M recommends everyone test on a regular basis regardless of vaccination status.

Students, faculty and staff also may test often and for free at one of several Curative on-campus kiosks.

Texas A&M outlines its isolation and quarantine protocols on its COVID-19 guidance page. Please check for regular updates.
